Family Court Services and Child Custody Recommending Counselors are located at the Hayward Hall of Justice.

  • Mediation is a confidential process led by a neutral counselor who helps parents develop a parenting plan.

  • If parents reach an agreement, it is submitted to the court for approval.

  • If no agreement is reached, the counselor will prepare a recommendation for the judge to consider at the hearing.
