Remote hearings (attending by video)

How to join, as the court explains it:

  • Before the hearing, download the Zoom app on your computer or phone.
  • Fifteen minutes before, go to a quiet, private place with a strong connection. Children should not be present.
  • At least five minutes before, click your courtroom's Zoom link on the court page (or enter the meeting number and password). You will wait in a waiting room, so stay muted until the judge calls your case.
  • If you have trouble connecting, the court says to email videoappearance@marin.courts.ca.gov with your name and case number.

Tips: test your camera, microphone and internet a day ahead, keep your hearing notice and case number handy, and join early.
